Touring through the Galaxy: Ottega Sector

Arthon System (L-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Arthon

Arthon was a remote planet initially colonized by Ithorians. By 32 BBY, the colonies on the planet were deserted.

Orocco System (M-7)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Orocco

Orocco was a remote, temperate world that came under Imperial occupation during the Galactic Civil War.

Ottega System (M-6)

· Sun/Star: Ottega

· Orbits:

o Imrooso

§ one unnamed moon/satellite

o Torgazi

§ three unnamed moons/satellites

o Ottega

§ three unnamed moons/satellites

o Ithor

§ six unnamed moons/satellites

o Harugi Spill (asteroid belt)

o Shihor

§ 29 unnamed moons/satellites

o Gyo

§ 15 unnamed moons/satellites

o 69 unnamed planets/planetoids

§ 565 unnamed moons/satellites

The inner two planets were uninhabitable, Imrooso being a barren world of molten rock, and Torgazi a toxic greenhouse world. Likewise, the two outer worlds, Shigor and Gyo, were uninhabitable gas giants. Though inhabitable, Ottega was a temperate planet that housed a small population of colonists.

Ithor, on the other hand, was a lush world of rainforests, forests, and oceans. Homeworld of the humanoid Ithorian species, Ithor’s population lived in floating cities to preserve the revered bodies of water the Ithorians held as sacred. One of the original members to join the Galactic Republic prior to 8,000 BBY, Ithor remained a loyal member until the government’s dissolution.

During the Galactic Civil War, Ithor was briefly occupied by Imperial forces, until the planet joined the New Republic. However, Ithor was razed in 25 ABY during the Yuuzhan Vong War, and the planet was uninhabitable for roughly a century. By 137 ABY, most of the toxins were removed via terraforming, leaving rocky landscapes to be repopulated with fauna and flora.

Toskhowwl System (M-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o five unnamed planets (presumably Toskhowwl I-V)

o Toskhowwl VI

Homeworld of the Jaltiri species, Toskhowwl VI was a remote world that saw little galactic traffic.

Vessitoar System (M-6)

· Sun/Star: unnamed

· Orbits:

o Vessitoar

Vessitoar was a remote world that came under the control of the New Republic during the Galactic Civil War.
